I perhaps would not have started the Back and Forth Journal if we had not been foster parents. Our four biological children had done such a great job accepting each of our 70+ foster kids over the years and I felt like I should pay special attention to my own kids so they wouldn’t get lost in the crowd. When I started a journal to pass back and forth with my oldest daughter I had no idea it would someday bring me to publish a journal for other parents and their children. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of the upbringing of our kids and all of the foster children that were placed in our care.
